Amber’s girlie lunch

Recently I was invited by a girlfriend of mine for lunch at a very smart Manchester restaurant. Now this friend knows nothing of my escort life but is extremely nosy. At one point during the lunch she began asking some searching questions which I was managing to deflect but was becoming a bit irritated by them. Enter the charming waiter. “Madame” he exclaimed “what a beautiful ring you are wearing!”. He asked me where I got it from, to which I replied that I had had the ring for a very long time and couldn’t remember exactly where it came from. He went on to explain that he was from Iran and where he came from, the stones in my ring were very precious and very special. He continued to fawn over my ring for several minutes and by the time he left the table my friend had forgotten what we were taking about before his arrival. Result!

Amber Manchester tourist

Again, I can’t believe how quickly time has passed by!

I have been entertaining a friend who is visiting from Australia since I returned from London so I’ve been a tourist in my own town. It has been quite interesting for me to visit places and see things from a different perspective. Manchester’s architecture is so diverse. From the ultra modern Urbis building to the Hidden Gem of St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Manchester has so much to offer. I’ve had afternoon tea at the Midland Hotel, seen some jazz music, which isn’t really my thing but was very enjoyable, visited some of Manchester’s oldest pubs, including Peveril of the Peak. I went on the Big Wheel for a bird’s eye view of the city, which was fun! I even managed to spend a whole day in Manchester one day sight seeing without entering one shop! I know, incredible!

Back from London

I really don’t know where this week has gone to!

I got back to Manchester from London on Sunday and the week is nearly over already.

I had a super time in London. The weather was glorious and I enjoyed some lovely walks through Kensington Gardens when I had some me time. I was intrigued by the blue bikes I saw parked up in the park and have since learned that this is a brand new scheme in London nicknamed “Boris’s Bikes”. What a brilliant idea! You can rent a bike for free for half an hour, after that there is a low cost. This has been implemented to try and reduce congestion in London. I was tempted to have a go but I think they looked a bit big for me and I didn’t want to make an idiot of myself by falling off lol!

Amber in London

I’m looking forward to visiting London again this week. I will be in Kensington from Wednesday 4 August to Saturday 7 August. My diary is pretty busy but I do have some availability. So if you would like me to escort you to dinner in some fancy shmancy restaurant or just come and visit me [...]

Amber’s evening of culture

This weekend I went to an open air production of “An Ideal Husband” in Manchester. I was a bit worried about the weather as the day time was quite gloomy and threatened rain. However, as my party arrived at the venue complete with picnic blankets, lots of goodies and a seemingly endless supply of fizzy stuff, the sun appeared and stayed around for the rest of the evening. We began our picnic with the English custom of Pimms and Lemonade and sat back to watch the show…

Back from Dublin

I returned from Dublin at the weekend. I had a great trip and met some very sexy men. I have said it before and will say it again, Dublin guys really are something special! Here is a funny story. One afternoon, I treated myself to some tea and cake and was sitting there checking my [...]

Blonde joke

A Policeman pulls a blonde in a sports car over for speeding and is trying to explain to her what and where her driver’s license might be. After she eventually gives him her driver’s license, he asks for registration.

Getting another blank blonde look from her, he explains, “It’s that little piece of paper you [...]

“Mama Mia!”

I was fortunate enough to escort a lovely gentleman to the theatre this week to see “Mamma Mia!” in Liverpool. How crazy is  this – an Italian title, based on a Greek island with music written by two Swedish guys. We began our evening with a Greek (naturally) themed dinner and a bottle of bubbly [...]

Recognise the lingerie? Well I’m off on my travels again soon. Here is my itinerary: Liverpool 17 and 18 June Southampton 20-23 June Brighton 24 June Dublin 14-17 July London 4-7 August. Amber the *cock*tail expert!

I recently attended a Cocktail Masterclass in that posh Harvey Nichols in Manchester. The theme was gin based cocktails so right up my street! It was actually very informative. For instance, did you know that there are 4 different types of ice? Block, cracked, crushed and snow. Or that a cocktail is a mixed drink [...]
